ASM Central Florida Chapter Community

Hello everyone,

I'm Mike Benton, Co-Founder & CEO of Nano Foundry, a Florida-based advanced materials company and part of SummitWave Group.

Our team has spent more than 15 years developing a patented manufacturing platform that takes a fundamentally different approach to producing advanced materials. Rather than relying on traditional milling or particle reduction techniques, our process is designed to produce nano-scale materials directly during synthesis, with an emphasis on scalability for commercial manufacturing.

Our initial focus is high-purity aluminum oxide (alumina), with future work extending into additional engineered materials for applications including advanced polymers, composites, thermal management, additive manufacturing, and energy technologies.

I joined ASM because this community represents many of the people pushing materials science and manufacturing forward. I'm looking forward to learning from the expertise here, participating in technical discussions, and connecting with others who are interested in innovative manufacturing approaches and advanced materials.
