TITLE: Isotropic Aluminum Composites for High Stability & Lightweight Applications

SPEAKER, COMPANY: Andrew Tarrant, Product Line Director, Materion

DESCRIPTION: Lightweight, high-stability components and structures are essential for a broad range of transportation and communications applications. Aluminum alloys reinforced with fine ceramic particles can offer improvements in isotropic strength and stiffness that enable performance or weight savings for systems and structures.

In this webinar, attendees will learn about:

    • Properties available from this class of isotropic aluminum composites
    • Associated benefits these materials offer for design engineers
    • Current and new product forms and processing capability
    • Examples of application benefits from a combination of mechanical and physical properties including thermal, fatigue, and tribological characteristics
