Archaeometallurgy Community:We would like to share this widely-recognized article on the brass nails of the Akko Tower Shipwreck.The article was published in the ASM journal Metallography, Microstructure, and Analysis (MMA) The paper was awarded the International Metallographic Society (IMS) Buehler Technical Paper of Merit Award for 2015. The award is given to the MMA paper in a given volume year judged best in dealing with the practice of the metallographic arts. It was also designated as an Editor's Choice paper by the journal's editor, Ryan Deacon.
