    Continuing my problem with the charpy values of Investment cast 17-4PH, I want to clarify that the product has been heat treated as follows: Solutionised at 1080 deg C( water quenched) followed by double age hardening as per H1150 to get a hardness of 30-33HRc.

    How is the fractured surface look like? is it brittle or ductile? If it is brittle then I suspect you have copper segregation along the grain boundaries. Can be identified by SEM probe analysis in Lab.
