Thanks Peter,
The community is already informal, but we need rules of government and I ask for more collegiality and equity with all and we must to have the time to express oipnion and to arrive all together to solutions, so I have to ask for changes in the appoach because if not people are there without the possibility of to say an opinion.
Peter, you know I am so interested on to do things together, because we both have to make fruits from the interchange of memberships, and already we cannot talk of nothing related, at least you want to do a book ior a guide and I say yes I want to be part of.
We have also to understand that not everyone are in the aim to write, but equally they can contribute with anothers type of ideas, always keeping us inside the field of metallurgy and archaeometallurgy.

Subject: Metallurgical conversations
May I add my support for Patricia and the original intentions for setting up a community within ASM. When I first became aware of the community and the proposed link with the Historical Metallurgy Society (HMS) I was delighted. HMS has a diverse and multi-disciplinary membership but not so many of us are metallurgists, so I was looking forward to being in an environment where I could talk about questions of, for example, physical metallurgy. Indeed I have enjoyed the opportunity to participate in a number of metallurgical threads.
I was hoping that the monthly online meetings of the community would offer the some more opportunities for conversations (and we want to make this easier within HMS). However, the way the monthly meetings are working at the moment seems to frustrate that ambition. Certainly we must talk about how the community is organised, but let us also do what we joined for, talk about what we are doing and ask each other questions and get new ideas.
Regards,
Peter Northover
