The "BORDER ARCHAEOMETALLURGY PROJECT" deals with all the historical metals from the Forts of southern Mendoza, such as the Fort of San Carlos and Villa 25 de Mayo in San Rafael. With the studies carried out in addition to knowing the metallographic structures of the metals, the raw materials used and the manufacturing methods. Answers to some questions were also obtained as if there were exchanges and possible origin of the materials.
