Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist Short Course

The Oak Ridge Chapter of ASM International is excited to announce a professional development short course for Spring 2025!

The course, Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist, aims to provide a working knowledge of different metals, manufacturing processes, and properties to students, technicians, and anyone interested in learning more about metals. This is a one-day in-person course (Friday, May 30th, 2025) with the option for a second-day online option that offers a professional certification through ASM.

The in-person portion will take place in room 147 at the Institute for Advanced Materials and Manufacturing (IAMM) - 2641 Osprey Vista Way, Knoxville, TN.
