TITLE:
A Titanium Overview
Titanium has been billed as the metal of the future ever since it was purified in the late 1940’s. Despite its promise, titanium has remained a niche material due to its price. This talk will discuss the history of the element, the steps needed to produce it, and the alloys and applications that currently exist. The outlook for the future will be discussed and some examples of current product applications will be on hand.
