Dr. Yinmin (Morris) Wang is a full professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, UCLA. He obtained his PhD in materials science and two master degrees, all from the Johns Hopkins University in 2003. He spent 17 years at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a technical staff scientist and was a deputy group leader for the Nanoscale Integration Science Group before joining UCLA in 2020. Dr. Wang is a Fellow of American Physical Society (2014) and a winner of Nano50 Innovator Award (2008). He has published over 140 articles and was an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Report (2017-2020). His group’s research focuses on additive manufacturing of structural and battery materials, mechanical behavior of nanostructured metals, and fusion materials and targets.
