    I would appreciate any feedback on plastometry.

    Yes an instrumented hardness test essentially  get TYS & UTS  -  normal hardness testing Vickers, Rockwell, Brinell can be correlated to UTS only  but not yield strength.

    System will not give % elongation (unidirectional drawing and stretching capacity) and % reduction in area (measure of NMI & intermetallics, carbides etc.)
