Saw an interesting Youtube video yesterday regarding rebuilding, restoration, and analysis or Cathedral. I did not realize that the roof was made of lead. They were removing large solidified pools of melted lead roofing. They were analyzing all of the wood fragments to determine wood species, and the 12th century nail manufacturing methods.
