Engineer Your Future – Adventures with Materials in Industry and Academia with Professor Elsayed
Join us March 23, 2022 at 1 pm EST as Dr. Abdallah Elsayed talks about his research in developing lightweight alloys and other materials in industry and academia.
Dr. Abdallah Elsayed received his PhD from Ryerson University in 2015. He then worked as a Research and Development Engineer at Nemak Canada Corporation in Windsor, a leading global supplier of aluminum automotive powertrain components. He joined the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph in 2017 where he is now an Assistant Professor. Dr. Elsayed's research examines manufacturing and processing of light metals and alloys for the automotive and aerospace industries, with a focus on using fundamental concepts and experimental approaches to solve real-world problems. Other research interests include novel contaminant materials for soil remediation, and materials for food packaging and preservation. In this talk, Dr. Elsayed will highlight several aspects of his research at the University of Guelph as well as the industrial sector.
