    Join us on October 27th, 2021 at 7pm EST to learn about Eli's career path in the field of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering.

    Dr. Eli Vandersluis is a Materials Scientist / Metallurgist with extensive experience in research and development, metalcasting, materials characterization, and failure analysis. Eli completed his B.Eng. (2014), M.A.Sc. (2015), and PhD (2020) in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Ryerson University. Eli's research during his graduate studies focused on the casting and characterization of lightweight alloys with improved mechanical and thermal properties for the automotive and aerospace industries. Eli served ASM International as a Student Board Member, and was actively involved with the Material Advantage Ryerson Chapter as a Past Chair. After graduating from Ryerson University, Eli moved on to start a career in Forensic Engineering at Pario Engineering and Environmental Sciences in Toronto, where he is a Forensic Materials Specialist.
