Blue Origin is looking for a Thermal Protection System Engineer, and thermal spray coating manufacturing is involved 🚀!
Quick Summary:
- Familiarity with thermal spray 😀, CVD, PVD, or other coating application techniques
- Develop and characterize advanced coating systems, ceramics, and ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) for thermal protection systems
- Experience with ultra-high temperature ceramics (UHTCs) and their processing methods
- Knowledge of various ceramic matrix composite systems beyond SiC/C or SiC/SiC
- Experience with protective coating systems for high-temperature applications
- Experience with material characterization techniques such as SEM, XRD, thermal analysis
