Hello everyone,
The most recent SMST board meeting began with welcoming new members and saying thank you to those stepping down to make room for the next round. Our community continues to grow without faltering onto the next cycle.
I would like this thread to be dedicated in welcoming our new members or to our members in new roles. We can celebrate our colleagues, collaborators, trainees, students' achievements while getting to know one another.
The person I would like to announce first is SMST's new Student Board Member of 2022-2023,
Mr. Eathan Devine.
Mr. Devine is pursuing a master of science degree in mechanical engineering by exploring the mechanical responses of SMA to improve fatigue characteristics. He shows initiative by participating in the Membership Engagement Committee to improve student engagement in the SMST and ASM community.
More information about Mr. Devine and several new officers and members is available in the October 2022 AM&P issue, SMST Newswire (shared in another discussion). Feel free to give a celebratory shoutout to anyone of our members.
Thank you,
