Semi-retired and try to attend most Pittsburgh chapter functions. Spent most of my career in technical roles in engineering ceramics, cemented carbides, and hard coatings, as used in wear-resistant (especially metal cutting) applications. Since retiring from full-time work I have done some consulting and advisory board work in such areas and in phase gate project management. These days my main professional activity is writing and editing articles in the powder metallurgy and closely-associated fields.
