Dear Thermal Spray Community!
This is an important announcement regarding the International Thermal Spray Conference 2024 (ITSC 2024) - Milan (Italy) | April 29th-May 1st.During the ITSC 2024, there will be a special event of the ASM Thermal Spray Society (TSS) entitled: Awards, Future Events and Special Tribute to Prof. Pierre Fauchais.
In this special event, TSS Awards (e.g., TSS Hall of Fame and JTST Best Paper Award) will be presented and future TSS events will be announced.
In addition, we will pay a tribute to Prof. Pierre Fauchais, a legend of our thermal spray community, who passed away last month. Let's celebrate together the life and achievements of Prof. Fauchais, who was one of the pioneers who elevated thermal spray from an industrial technique into fundamental science. His contributions to our thermal spray community are immense.
This TSS stand alone session at the ITSC 2024 will take place on Tuesday (April 30th) at 8:45-9:30 h at the Allianz MiCo Milano Convention Center (RED 1+2 room): Programmablauf (dvs-ev.de)
And we are deeply thankful of our colleagues of DVS, Jens Jerzembeck and Sabrina Tank, who have been incredibly generous by allowing TSS to have this special stand alone session at the ITSC 2024.
