The Journal of Thermal Spray Technology (JTST) is pleased to announce the winners of the JTST Volume 33 Best Paper Awards, as chosen by an international committee of expert judges.
The 2024 Best Paper winner, published in the August 2024 issue, is "Aerosol Deposition of CuFeO2 Photocathode Coatings for Hydrogen Production" by Alessia Bruera, Giulia Dolcetti, Giovanni Bolelli, and Luca Lusvarghi, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia; Mauro Borghi, Institute for Microelectronics (TU Wien); Andreas Elsenberg, Frank Gärtner, and Thomas Klassen, Helmut Schmidt University, University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg; and Mauricio Schieda, Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon GmbH.
The 2024 Honorable Mention winner, published in the December 2024 special issue containing papers selected from presentations at the Asian Thermal Spray Conference and Expo 2023, is "Generating Oxide-free Molten Metal Droplets by Air Plasma Spraying Enabled by Deoxidizer Addition to the Feedstock Powders" by Chang-Jiu Li, Xiao-Tao Luo, Xin-Yuan Dong, Li Zhang, Yong-Sheng Zhu, Cheng-Xin Li, and Guan-Jun Yang, Xi'an Jiaotong University.
