Dear Thermal Spray Community!

Typically a power supply for plasma spray systems lasts for many years.

Based on that concept, I would like to know if there is a way to verify the "health" of your power supply. Even if after years it is still working well, is there a way to verify or estimate that your power supply needs to be changed in a near future?

I have seen checking power supply for ripple voltage and other DC characteristics more as quality checks (e.g. defective or shorted SCR). I would think one can perform load testing  to check the health of the power supply.   Check this Rectifier Monitoring (aucsc.com).  Power supply manufacturer might be able to provide more specific test method.
