And the next session features Marcel Van Wonderen from KLM, Holland.
This is his amazing short-bio: Marcel Van Wonderen worked for KLM Engineering & Maintenance from 1986 until 2025 at the Process Equipment & Materials Development Department as Process Engineer.
He was responsible for special (repair) processes in the aircraft MRO-business with regard to: specifications, innovations, process-improvement & optimization, trouble shooting, manuals, equivalencies, audits and setting up & performing theoretical/practical training courses. The above taking in account national and international aircraft regulations and environmental/occupational health legislation. He was also responsible, among other things, for consultancy on air filtration systems, robotics, shot-peening, water-jetting, grit-blasting and thermal spraying in the Aircraft-MRO business.
He introduced new technologies at KLM E&M like: robotized plasma spraying, electric twin arc spraying, high-enthalpy plasma spraying, high-pressure HVOF spraying and ultra high pressure waterjet stripping of thermal spray coatings.
His current role as a contractor for KLM E&M is program manager for knowledge transfer to young engineers ✈️.
