    Hi

I’m Gerson Ecker, born and raised in Chicago where I  graduated from Senn High School in  1951.

As an old-school Mechanical Engineer from MIT, I spent 63 years with  Ecker-Erhardt Co, a small maintenance machine and fab shop providing repair, reverse engineering and new construction services on industrial machinery and pressure vessels, serving steel and aluminum mills, manufacturers, commercial buildings, refineries, and power generating utilities, fossil and nuclear. For the record, My company maintained a Quality Assurance program under 10 CFR Part 21 and Appendix B, "Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants, and fabricated and repaired pressure vessels. Ecker Erhardt held ASME U and NBIC R Stamps. In 2023 the company celebrated its 100th anniversary

And, in-between, I worked to support Vocational Education in the Chicago Public High Schools while helping  to raise 3 very successful boys who then gifted us with 9 grandchildren and  so far, 1 great grandson.  My wife and I remain happily married.

Short summary -  What I do: “I Fix stuff and I know things!”
