Dear Thermal Spray Community!If any of you would like to pursue a post-doc in thermal spray at the Center for Thermal Spray Research (CTSR) of Stony Brook University (USA), this is your chance.Required Qualifications:Doctoral Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Materials Science and Engineering or closely related field.Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Materials Science and Engineering. Experience in Thermal Spray Materials/Processes/Characterization/Modeling is preferred. Additional Experience in contact mechanics, tribology and corrosion especially of coated systems would be of interest. Demonstrated ability to conduct hands-on experimentation with thermal spray and associated characterization tools is preferred.Brief Description of Duties:- Within the predetermined research scope and methodology, conduct research experiments in the field of thermal spray and materials science and engineering.- Conduct contact mechanics, tribology and corrosion testing of thermal spray coatings.- Collect and analyze data, including periodical/literature search and utilizing specialized skills in related fields to analyze the collected data.- Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentations.
