Dear Thermal Spray Community!Greetings from The Indian Thermal Spray Association-iTSA. Yesterday we organized an amazing workshop on "Cold Spray Technology-Lab to Market" at the
iTSA and it would not have been successful without the excellent contribution of our distinguished speakers.Event summary - 6 expert lectures delivered:1. Prof. Harpreet Singh-IIT Ropar, President of the iTSA has started inaugural speech and presented the basics of cold spray technology including "your labs" activities on cold spray at IIT Ropar. 2. Prof. Srinivasa Rao Bakshi-IIT Madras, Vice President of the iTSA has presented the exciting results of the work done on cold spray at IITM including development of new cold spray coatings for new applications.3. Dr. Peter King - CSIRO Australia delivered a lecture on cold spray research activities at CSIRO including 3D simulations and live demonstrations of cold spray additive manufacturing. Also discussed cold sprayed coating properties.4. Dr. Reeti Singh - Impact Innovation Germany has presented a world class OEM Cold Spray System. Also showcased is how Impact Innovation is developing new cold spray coatings and providing industry leading solutions. Applications from kitchen to aerospace.5. Dr. Eklavya Calla-GE Gas Power presents very useful basics of Cold Spray Nozzle Geometry and the effect of its length and throat size. Also presented properties of cold sprayed coatings including a great range of new cold spray research developments carried out at GE.6. Lastly, Dr. Satish Tailor, Chief Scientist-MEC Jodhpur India & Founder iTSA gave a presentation on Cold Spray History, Its Basics, List of Cold Spray OEMs Worldwide and Its Applications including Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing and Restoration with examples. Also introduced the new SPRAYCOLD-500 cold spray system launched in India by MEC Jodhpur, the first commercial cold spray in India.On behalf of iTSA, I would like to thank our speakers for delivering an expert lecture on Cold Spray Technology and its promising applications.
