Dear Chirag,
I do not know what exactly you need as I am not familiar with your system, but I dare to present my general recommendation :)
I have already adapted 3 Zeiss optical microscopes in our labs (2 stereos and one inverted metallographic). We just bought adapters for DSLR and cheap DSLRs (the latest one was I think Canon EOS D2000 with 24 MPx sensor) and we are very happy with the results. The benefits are:
- price (usually, adapter + DSRL is much cheaper than the original microscope cameras)
- image quality is superb and you get the latest chip with very high resolution and sensitivity (original cameras are usually "bit obsolete")
- with the high resolution camera, it is easy to do subsets or details of fine features later
- with the new DSLR cameras, you may get remote shooting with PC (Canon has really nice "EOS Utility" software for free) and wifi connectivity (I do not use it much, but may be handy if you need to send images quickly via phone/mail or connect tablet for imaging, etc.).
- if the camera breaks one day, you just buy a new one with the same mount (you already have the adapter) or get it repaired in the local store
Cons
- you may need to buy special software (if available at all) to work with microscopic features like adding scale bars and measuring (we do it later in another software)
- with todays chips, the images/files may get too big (e.g. 24 MPx), but you can always downscale to save disk space and work faster
- you must not forget charge your battery or buy charging adapter :)
The greatest challenge may be to find the DSLR adapter. I do not know the company but you may get some inspiration here
