Dear Thermal Spray Community!
This is a post about the Surftec Thermal Spray Industrial R&D Group of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC)🚀!
It was a bold vision of the researchers of the NRC's Thermal Spray Surface Engineering Team and the encouraging support of the NRC's higher-up administration that in 1995 (i.e., 30 years ago) created this industrial R&D group. The world and technology have changed a lot since 1995, but Surftec is still flying high with its commitment to tackle practical industrial challenges in thermal spray. It is a non-stop joint effort of the NRC exec leadership, researchers, technicians and staff; and of course, with the invaluable input from our industrial members. Surftec does not replace industrial R&D, but it de-risks the R&D investment.
