Dear Thermal Spray Graduate and Undergraduate Students!
This is a friendly reminder.
ASM Thermal Spray Society (TSS) is looking for a Student Board Member.
To be eligible, you must be a registered undergraduate or graduate student during the academic year of service, studying or researching in an area closely related to the field of thermal spray technology.
There are many advantages of becoming a TSS Student Board Member; including:
a) Travel expenses to attend board meetings (e.g., ITSCs) are paid by TSS 😎. Wow!
b) Networking with well-established professionals of the international thermal spray community 😀.
To apply, submit an application package comprising:
1) Your current resume/CV.
2) A two-page essay (typed and double-spaced, in English) addressing your interest in participating in the program. Please make sure to address the following points:
- What experiences have led to your interest in this program?
- What qualities, characteristics and skills do you possess that will make you a strong candidate to serve as Student Representative to the TSS Board?
- What do you hope to learn/gain from this program?
3) Two or three letters of recommendation from faculty.
We will select one student in 2025. Applications are due on April 1, 2025.
