Greetings,
ASM International has launched an online discussion platform, ASM Connect, where members can participate on discussion topics, network year-round with no geographical barriers, engage in knowledge sharing, post questions, discuss ideas, and share experiences and thoughts. In addition to being able to chat with colleagues, members are able to participate in discussions with subject matter experts, and post documents to share with others.
To continue practical microelectronic failure and investigative analysis discussions beyond the User Groups held at ISTFA, the EDFA user group community "FIB Users Group" was created in ASM Connect. It is an open forum for people interested in discussing FIB tool configurations, operating modes, specifications, purchase, care and upkeep, and especially the various use cases, challenges and solutions. Based on your past participation at ISTFA and in particular your interest in the FIB meeting at ISTFA 2019, you have been added to the group as a charter member. As moderators of this community, we highly encourage you to join this online forum for continued learning and knowledge sharing. You do not need to be an ASM member to join or participate.
Modern FIB tools are utilized in a wide variety of Fab, lab and FA tasks, including cross-sectioning, high-resolution imaging, sample preparation for other analysis techniques such as TEM, and circuit edit. Some of the topics that we think might be worthy of initial discussions include novel ion species, gas assisted etch & deposition, techniques to mitigate induced artifacts, advances in circuit edit and TEM prep, low beam energy applications, automated processing and more!
The instructions below will guide you on how to join the forum:
To join/login go to https://connect.asminternational.org/home. Sign in using your email as username. If you do not have a password or forgot your password hit the "reset password" button.
