The November Chapter Meeting was a joint meeting with AWS held at CCAC West Hills. On October 16, members of the ASM Pittsburgh Chapter toured Standard Forged Products in McKees Rocks, PA. On this day the weather was very cooperative. Employees of Standard Forged Products were gracious hosts and guided us through the facility. The ASM Pittsburgh Chapter went on the Carrie Furnace tour in Rankin, PA. The weather was not the best, but the tour was very informative. On May 15, the Pittsburgh Chapter had its Awards and Past Chair Night. The speaker and E.C Bain Awardee was Dr. P. Chris Pistorius who presented "Controlling Oxides in Laser-Based Additive Manufacturing".
