The ASM Pittsburgh Chapter held its annual Young Member's Night Meeting February 19, 2026 at the University of Pittsburgh's University Club. The presentations for the event started with Pitt undergrad student Daniel Giganti's "Forging Theory and Practice: The Value of Experiential Learning in Materials Science and Engineering". The January Chapter meeting for ASM Pittsburgh Chapter was held on January 14 at the Teutonia Mannerchor Club on Pittsburgh's North Side. University of Pittsburgh Professor Zachary Harris was the speaker. Professor Harris gave an informative talk on AM versus wrought properties of alloy 17-4. The November Chapter Meeting was a joint meeting with AWS held at CCAC West Hills.
