The San Fernando Valley Chapter of ASM International Welcomes:
Abstract
Corrosion is a constant challenge in the swimming pool parts industry. One form of corrosion is crevice corrosion in which a restrictive geometry creates a corrosive event on materials that would otherwise be immune to corrosive attack. This presentation will start with a basic overview of corrosion then go into details of the crevice corrosion mechanism.
