Purpose: The purpose of the AM&P Editorial Committee is to advise the editors in selecting article topics of greatest interest to ASM members, and to suggest authors and sources of information for the magazine. The AM&P Editorial Committee shall support the ASM Strategic Plan and be accountable and responsible for those strategic actions that fall within the purview of the committee. It shall also be the responsibility of the committee to contribute new program and service ideas that support the Strategic Plan.

- Advanced Materials & Processes magazine and AM&P semimonthly eNewsletter
Qualifications of Members:
Must be an ASM member. Must have expertise in materials science and engineering. We strive to have committee members from different disciplines and industries that represent our overall ASM membership.
Committee Size10-12 members
Term Duration: 3 years
Time Commitment:
60 minutes for teleconferences a few times a year; 2-hour meeting at IMAT (if attending); some time each month reading AM&P magazine and eNewsletters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Suggest article topics and potential authors
- Contribute articles as time allows
- Critique print issues of AM&P and AM&P semimonthly eNewsletters
- Discuss emerging areas of materials science & engineering we should cover
Support of Committee Activities:ASM Staff Liaison will provide an orientation and information prior to the beginning term date of September 1. In addition, the Staff Liaison participates and is an active partner in all meetings and activities of the committee.
