Purpose:The IMS Micrograph Database Committee shall work with ASM to develop and maintain the Micrograph Database. Microstructures are the key to understanding the properties and the performance of metals, especially, and materials generally. The Micrograph Database shall be a dynamic, multi-platform, and educational virtual library creating improved access to information across a variety of fields. The Micrograph Database Committee will work with ASM to provide guidance and assistance in content acquisition and development, which shall lead to increased subscriptions and usage.Services Committee is Responsible for:The Micrograph Database.Qualifications of Members:
- Must belong to ASM and IMS and have experience with micrographs.
Committee Size:
9-11 including the Chair
Time Commitment:
1 hour in committee meeting every month (first Wednesday of the month 1-2pm EST) and approximately 1-2 hour per month outside of the meeting to find the article, find good images, fill out the form and send an email to the committee chair.
