Purpose:
- To foster a Canadian identity within ASM and the Engineering Materials Community.
- To strengthen the network and communication among Canadian ASM Chapters.
- To sponsor various technical and scientific projects.
- To encourage student participation in materials research.
- To promote products, technologies and services of Canadian ASM members.
- To act as a liaison for ASM International in Canada.
Product(s) and Service(s) Awards Policy Committee is responsible for:
- ASM Canada Council Innovation Award Rules Nomination Form Past Award
- ASM Canada Council Brian Ives Lectureship Rules Nomination Form Past Award
- ASM Canada Council G. MacDonald Young Award
Qualifications of Members:
- Qualifying candidate must have served as a Canadian ASM Professional Chapter Chair
- Duration of Member position commitment: 1 - 3 years.
Committee Size:Committee Size: 5 officers, 8 chapter representatives, 3-5 members at large

Ky Responsibilities:
- Contributing/participating in teleconference/face to face meetings
- Acting on behalf of Canadian chapter/industry/community
Support of Committee Activities:ASM Staff Liaison will provide an orientation and information prior to the beginning term date of September 1st annually. In addition, the Staff Liaison participates and is an active partner in all meetings and activities of the committee.
