    Hello,

I am seeking information about Cronidur 30 stainless steel, specifically the effect of cryogenic freezing and subsequent low temperature tempering on previously core hardened sections of material. Thanks in advance.

    Scott,

I found the following citation listed in an ASM Handbook article.

    Trojahn , E. Streit , H. Chin , and D. Ehlert , Progress in Bearing Performance of Advanced Nitrogen Alloyed Stainless Steel, Cronidur 30, Bearing Steels into the 21st Century , ASTM STP 1327 (J. J. C. Hoo and W. B. Green , Eds.), ASTM , 1998 , p 447 – 459, https://www.astm.org/stp12144s.html
I don't know if will contain the information you are seeking, but perhaps it will provide some clues for additional research.

The ASM Handbook article in which it is cited is

Alan J. Chidester, Craig V. Darragh, Robert C. Hoff, John R. Imundo, James L. Maloney, III, Dan Nitescu, Heat Treatment of Bearings, Heat Treating of Irons and Steels, Vol 4D, ASM Handbook, Edited By Jon L. Dossett, George E.
