THREE Key Concepts of Steel
Belated book launch for "Steel Isn't Hard (to learn)"
Most people appreciate that the properties of steel are largely based upon what alloying it has. Yet less intuitive is the role that microstructure plays. This talk will demonstrate three introductory key concepts useful to understanding steel – including the roles that processing, heat treatment and microstructure play with regards to strength. It is based upon the new book "Steel Isn't Hard (To Learn)" which uses a dirt-simple and fresh approach to introduce steel. Whether beginning to learn or an expert teaching others, come listen to a fresh perspective on steel.
