Albert Easton White Distinguished Teacher Award

This award was created in recognition of Professor White, to honor his accomplishments as a teacher of metallurgy and his key role in the founding of the American Society for Metals (now ASM International). Established in 1960, this award recognizes unusually long and devoted service in teaching, as well as significant accomplishments in materials science and engineering, along with an unusual ability to inspire and impart enthusiasm to students.
Bradley Stoughton Award for Young Teachers
Nomination Deadline: March 1
Dr. Stoughton's distinguished career in academia and his guidance inspired many of his students to outstanding metallurgical achievements. Established in 1952, the Bradley Stoughton Award for Young Teachers recognizes and fosters excellence in the teaching of materials science, materials engineering, design, and processing to help encourage young teachers in this field. This award comes with a $3000.00 honorarium!!
