  • 1.  Minimum hardness on low alloy metals

    I am doing site inspection for hardness on high temperature low alloy tubes . There are references for the maximum allowable hardness, but where can I find the minimum allowable hardness value preferably in Vickers on materials such as T12,T22?

    You can determine the minimum hardness by using the minimum specified tensile strength, then converting it to hardness per ASTM A370. Remember the conversion is only considered an estimate.
