What skill did new hires have that you found contributed the most to their success or what helped you the most transition into industry?

#1 - Being Teachable (be a "sponge", be an assistant to good mentors, seek constructive criticism and do not argue when it is given), and  most of the "experts" will help you to catch up and succeed.

As a non traditional student when I entered college I found that my maturity was a benefit as I enered the work force.  So I will emphasize Ron's reply regarding the desire to see listening and learning skills from candidates for hire.
