I have a platinum plated titanium anode that I would like to over-plate to minimize edge rounding when measuring the platinum plating thickness. I am looking for insight as to the best way to go about doing this. Typically for over-plating I use a copper strike followed by electroless nickel. However, I have come across some references indicating that a copper strike is not typically used on platinum and that a nickel or gold strike would be better. Advice on this matter would be appreciated.
