    How do we training our students to truly prepare them for the complex and interdisciplinary challenges when most of their education training is in one area with very little exposure or understanding of other fields?

    Back in the day I was majoring in metallurgy/materials engineering, but I was co-oping on alternate semesters in a mechanical engineering group at Westinghouse that specialized in computer modeling. That gave me exposure I never otherwise would have had.
