  • 1.  What skills do new hires lack?

    Hiring managers or others in similar positions: 

    What knowledge or skills do you find new hires are lacking that you wish they had learned in school?  As a teacher this answer could inform what I cover in my classes.

    Decades ago my school had an Industry/Faculty Committee.  This was the industrial members (pretty much all graduates of the school, though this would not be a requirement) having a direct conversation, at least yearly, regarding what knowledge/training that they would value in their hires.

    Starting such a conversation here is a good substitute for same.
