ASM LA CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2026:

DEADLINE: 2/28/26!

SCOPE OF SCHOLARSHIP:

The Los Angeles Chapter of ASM International is offering multiple merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students living in the Southern California area served by the Los Angeles, San Fernando, Orange Coast and former South Bay Chapters of ASM. Applicants must have a major in Materials Science/Metallurgy/Materials Engineering or a Science and Engineering major with emphasis in Materials Science and must be continuing undergraduate study in Fall 2026. High school seniors and college freshman students who express a desire to have such a degree are also encouraged to apply.

Scholarships will be awarded to students who have demonstrated strength in academics as well as leadership and character. Students must be US Citizens or legal residents and must be living in and attending school in the area served by the Southern California ASM Chapters.

Applicants may receive consecutive awards and may apply in consecutive years. Scholarship amounts will range from $1000 to $4000. Awardees will be required to provide a 5-10 minute presentation at one of our technical meetings or the ASM Scholarship Golf Tournament in June.
